We must also say well done to everyone else who competed and especially to the novices who made a valiant attempt and managed to come away in fifth position. Also to Charlie Birch for her second place finish in the individual, Massively well done to everyone and an excellent way to finish term.

Hi all,

I would firstly like to say thank you and well done, to Sarah and J dizzle for arranging the Garden party on saturday which I think everyone who attended would agree was a great success.

This week is BUCS week so yes its the final and largest competition in the Oxford calendar so lets wish good luck to all those competing and hope training is taken very seriously prior to the event. I am sure we should be capable of achieving some very successful results.

Hi all,

hope you are all having a good week,

congratulations to all who shot at the Diana shoot yesterday even if we did manage to retain the trophy, merely a minor blip on this years near flawless record. It is now only two weeks away from BUCS, the biggest and toughest event in our calender so I hope you are already to show what you can do.

It is also GARDEN PARTY this weekend which is set to be great fun with lots of socialising and drinking to be had, thus I must strongly recommend you all attend.

So following the minor upset and distinct decrease in novice commitment recently I feel this must be stepped up a notch, and will start tonight with fitness and our new training regime (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=43FMVVTx8-I)

Hi all,

This is the biggest week of the year with VARSITY on Saturday, so firstly congratulations to all those who have been selected to represent your university and compete for the chance to get a Blue.

Well done again to all archers who competed this weekend wherever that may be, particularly Charlie Birch who managed to win her competition and break the club record for the round in the process.
The weather at the moment seems to be perfect for shooting so I am expecting as many of you as possible to be turning up and trying your best to shoot well at varsity, make the BUCS team or just generally to have a good time

2. Tournaments
Trinity term is always the best for competitions as you get to shoot outdoors and have the fun of shooting much more competitively and over multiple distances. As far as major shoots are concerned the big competition this term will be BUCS outdoors.  BUCS outdoors 14th and 15th June.

Those hoping to be selected for the BUCS team should be hoping to achieve score levels similar to that of our varsity criteria as shown below (based on 36 arrows at 60m):

novice women: 200
novice men: 220
experienced women: 260
experienced men: 280

that is all thanks, a final good luck to all varsity archers and lets hope the match closely resembles this one, showing that archery is definitely a spectator sport (skip to 1:10:00 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PyOWt75j8g8&list=TL_XD07rL0I5YHXbjEERzFTCD9NGysWGUO)
